Profile
The Bow is one of Calgary’s most prominent and architecturally significant skyscrapers, defining the downtown skyline with its distinctive crescent-shaped design. Completed in 2012 and designed by renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, the tower reflects Calgary’s global presence and commitment to modern urban design.
At the base of the building, visitors will find The Wonderland Sculpture by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa — a massive wire-mesh human head that has become one of Calgary’s most photographed public artworks. The plaza surrounding The Bow often hosts events and serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists alike.
Located just north of Stephen Avenue and connected to the Plus-15 network, The Bow is a must-see destination for those interested in architecture, public art, and Calgary’s modern identity.
