Listing Quality Requirements & Submission Guidelines

To maintain a high-quality, trustworthy, and professional directory for visitors and businesses on 8th Avenue, all submissions must meet the following standards. Listings that do not meet these requirements may be declined, returned for edits, or removed.

1. Business Information Requirements

Your listing must include:

  • Accurate business name
  • Complete address or exact location
  • Valid contact information (phone, email, website)
  • Clear and truthful business description
  • Updated operating hours
  • Correct category selection

Misleading or incomplete information will result in rejection.

2. Image & Media Quality Standards

Images must be:

  • High-resolution (no blurry / pixelated photos)
  • Properly lit and visually clear
  • Relevant to the business (storefront, products, interior, services)
  • Owned by you or licensed for use
  • Free from watermarks, text overlays, or logos unless submitted by the business
  • Inappropriate or AI-generated images are not accepted unless representing real locations authentically

3. Description & Content Requirements

Your business description must:

  • Be truthful and accurate
  • Use professional, respectful language
  • Avoid exaggerated claims
  • Avoid keyword stuffing
  • Not contain competitor comparisons
  • Be written in full sentences (not single words or spam terms)

4. Eligibility Requirements

Listings must be:

  • Real, active businesses
  • Located in or directly serving 8th Avenue or the surrounding core
  • Legally operating
  • Not duplicates of existing listings

We do not accept:

  • Fake, placeholder, or test businesses
  • Adult content
  • Hate, violence, or discriminatory content
  • Illegal or unlicensed services

5. Approval & Review

All listings are manually reviewed.
Approval is not guaranteed.

Your submission may be:

  • Approved
  • Returned for revisions
  • Declined
  • Removed after approval if the information becomes non-compliant

The review time typically ranges from 1–2 business days.

6. Updates & Revisions

Approved listings must remain accurate.

  • Formatting
  • Category placement
