Profile
Calgary’s Plus 15 Skywalk Network creates a city above the city, connecting more than 100 downtown buildings through an extensive system of enclosed elevated pedestrian walkways.
Named for their approximate height of 15 feet above street level, the walkways extend for more than 18 kilometres through downtown, forming one of the world’s largest systems of its kind.
Explore Downtown from Above
The network allows people to move between office towers, shopping centres, hotels, restaurants, cafés and other downtown destinations without returning to street level.
For Calgarians, it is an important part of everyday downtown life. For visitors, it provides an unusual second perspective on the city—particularly during winter, when the climate-controlled walkways make exploring the core considerably more comfortable.
Connected to the Avenue
Major destinations connected through the network include The CORE Shopping Centre, Bankers Hall and numerous downtown commercial towers, creating convenient indoor routes around the Stephen Avenue district and beyond.
Along the way, visitors may encounter food courts, shops, public art and elevated views that aren’t always obvious from the streets below.
The Plus 15 is more than a shortcut through Calgary—it is a distinctive layer of downtown life waiting just one level above the Avenue.
